The Dark Angels are a come and go crew. They create then disappear like street art. Their works exist in fragments, particles that float, dust motes that spin before the wind that blows them to faraway places. They are individuals that work as one. Deep as oceans, as impenetrable as the night. Art urchins and poets, they dissolve before they form. They are the Dark Angels, they are discharge. They are a bloody mouthful.

The Architecture of Sexism

For us „America" does not necessarily mean a territory, but a dream, like for Varèse, or an „airconditioned nightmare", like for Henry Miller, leaves of grass, a dream that comes to the black children in the hour of Pan… (A dream that has nothing to do with the so called „American dream".) Nothing but a chance for transgressive forces to emerge out of the human comedy, tragedy, nothingness (the truthful Blues…) Therefore we do not need to go filming to the sad territory USA today, this dreary, dull, ridiculous empty cistern governed by fear, hate, paranoia, nationalism, bigotry and what we call the „architecture of sexism". The historic found footage shows it best, even more since many sequences do not show the Americans themselves, who btw never existed in reality, but the things that they never understood until today: fascism, their own true face. The 1st & 2nd WW. Enola Gay. „Little Boy". Ivy Mike. Some „pure" Africa. They bring havoc in fear of the physical damage they scarcely experienced in their own land (unless through a weird hypostasis of nature or ragged masses of workers who contrary to the rest of the world remain forgotten within the junkyard of history) - a fatal lack of existential experience. Jean Luc Godard puts it this way in his shrewd way: the Americans only know the civil war because they always distractively fight themselves and their own concealed problems in the face of the other. Themselves, the natives, the slaves, the fascists, the communists as there seemed to appear forces of liberation within themselves, the Islam as the face of their own reactionary, fundamental supression of a sovereign female sex…

(Finally maybe the only reason to waste ones precious time on the US of America might be to SEE their parvenu position as the only remaining imperialistic, parodistic „superpower" in a global post-political cultural age. The „face" of the world that needs to be sacrificed – „Estados Unidos", E.U.)
